Emer's male puppy, Earc in pictures taken on August 24, 2015.
Earc was born on June 3, 2015 in a litter of five males and two females. He weighs about 7 pounds is around 12 inches long and stands about 7 inches tall at the withers. Earc had a nice Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test ranging mostly in the 3s and 4s. His pray drive and pack drive are mid range making him a nicely balanced dog. He plays well with children, his litter mates and mom. He is a loving, playful, attentive and energetic puppy. The puppies have a dog door and go outside to relieve themselves. Elodie has been teaching the puppies to sit and stay. She paints their toe nails and walks them on a leash. Both his parents are on the small size, in the 10 -11 pound range, stand approximately 9 1/2 inches high and 14 inches long. They have fun lovely temperaments, are attentive, smart, loyal companions and get on well with other dogs and people. I expect Earc will be equal to their size and will have a sweet personality like mom and dad's.

"The Super Puppy Program"
We start early obedience and agility training.

At five weeks your puppy will have started to learn how to come, sit and go through an agility tunnel.
They enjoy the challenge and the reward.

At birth puppies are given the Biotinus Test, Latin for "vigor of life” after birth.

This easy test will assess the natural vigor of each puppy and is a helpful tool in the process of getting to know each puppy as individuals.

 Biotinus Test

We are great believers in Early Puppy Imprinting.
It’s the process of handling all areas of the puppy's body, introducing smells and textures at an early age. At around day 10-14, once the eyes and ears open we add sight stimuli by slowly introducing colors, light and textures to the whelping box area and slowly introduce a large rapture of noises and sounds. As the puppies grow and mature more interactive and stimulating toys are added to the whelping box. The goal being a well balances, secure and self assured little puppy.

 Early Puppy Imprinting

Our puppies are on the SUPER Dog Program

A Bio Sensor stimulation exercises each puppy receives daily starting at the third day of life until the sixteenth day of life.
Below are the  five benefits observed in dogs that were exposed to the Bio Sensor stimulation exercises.
*Improved cardiovascular performance (heart rate)
*Stronger heart beats
*Stronger adrenal glands
*More tolerance to stress and
*Greater resistance to disease

All our puppies are Sound Socialized.

We play a CD called "SOUND SOCIALIZATION", the soundtrack introduces environmental sounds and stimuli.
Sound socialization training can have a positive impact on the quality of life for your new puppy.
He or she will learn to accept and be at ease with sounds in general and
will not be fearful, nervous, or uncomfortable with
environmental sounds or stimuli once your puppy is are ready to go home.

  Sound Socialization

Another ongoing practice is called the “Rule of Sevens” developed by Pat Schaap.
By the time the puppies are 7 weeks old, they have experienced seven different surfaces, toys/objects, locations,  people, food dishes and eating locations.

 Rule of Seven

The puppies take the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test (PAT) at 7 weeks old.

Our puppies generally test within the 3 to 4 range.
Scores in this range mean the puppies should make good companion dogs for most situation.
